Holding Our Own for the Holidays
The Holding Our Own Shop Local For the Holidays campaign seeks to encourage the community to continue to support locally-owned businesses throughout Johnson County this holiday season. Participating customers will be entered in weekly giveaway drawings during the campaign. There will be SEVEN weekly drawings with TEN winners per week! Weekly giveaway winners will receive gift cards of THEIR CHOICE at a value of $100 to participating local retailers, restaurants, non-profit theaters and museums, and hotels according to the weekly giveaway calendar and lists of participating businesses.
To Enter
Beginning November 9, 2020, each time you submit a receipt for any amount from a qualifying locally-owned business located in Johnson County, Iowa, you will automatically receive one entry in the Holding Our Own for the Holidays weekly giveaway. Each week, potential winners will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received. To be entered in a weekly drawing, a receipt submission must be received within the weekly entry period submission dates for that week. Non-winning entries received for one weekly drawing will carry forward to subsequent weekly drawings so you will still have a chance to win in a later drawing!
How it Works
Buying coffee? Submit your receipt. Buying a couch? Submit your receipt. All local purchases from qualifying businesses will qualify you for the giveaways! Review official rules and details (PDF).
Receipt submissions for drawing entry must be from a locally-owned business that has been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 restrictions with a brick and mortar business address within Johnson County. All “essential” businesses with the core business of including, but not limited to: drug stores, weapons, groceries, vehicles, homes, fuel, home improvement materials, utilities, tobacco products, medications, or copays are NOT eligible for this program.
